the silhouette

Basically, I'm just in love with art. I'm in love with the way simple masterpieces can communicate with my soul and convey peace. I could just stare at those forever and get lost in the deep, untold story my mind creates by art.
The sudden rush of inspiration to draw this "story" kind of drawing came the moment I stepped foot in my room after my run on Wednesday. I pulled my sketchbook off the wall where it had been leaning, opened to my recent ink drawing, flipped to a fresh, white page and began the outline for what became the silhouette.

While I'm on the subject of art, I'd like to ask your opinion on something. I'm designing my room (and trying to be artistic!) and I want to know what you think of this little set-up for the old yellow chest in my room. Any comments?
